I am a multi-award winning textile and mixed media artist who loves nothing more than experimenting with new ideas and sharing my enthusiasm and work with others.

Mark making is my passion. The possibilities for creating something exciting using just a few considered pencil lines, or free flowing swishes from an inky brush, are endless. Although I might start with a specific idea, I generally allow a particular piece to engage me in conversation until such time as intuition tells me it is complete.

Inspiration is to be found all around me. I sketch and use photography as an aide memoire and whilst I might admire a glorious landscape it is often the small scale, somewhat humble things, such as a rusty bolt that I capture with my camera lens.

Inks are my go to media although rarely used on their own - stitch, pencils, crayons, pastels, paint, and collage might play a role. I am currently exploring ways in which to also incorporate imagery, derived from my own photographs.
